Well-being Program for Title I Teachers and School Staff Shows 100% Response that Participants Achieved their Wellness Goals

Hundreds of educators and support staff are participating in the WHEN® Well-being Program that is covered by state-administered ARPA funds through May 2025

PHOENIX – May 31, 2024 – It’s unanimous. Following its first full year of operations, a well-being program for teachers and support staff at Title I schools throughout the Valley is generating exceptional results – 100% of responding participants report achieving their personal and professional wellness goals.

Funded through a $970,000 grant provided by the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by the Phoenix IDA, all employees at selected Title I schools throughout Maricopa County are invited to engage in the nationally recognized Power of WHEN® Well-being Program at no personal cost.

Through May 31st, more than 1,000 educators and staff have registered for the WHEN program, and every completed satisfaction survey reported that the program helped the participant achieve their primary wellness goal, while 86% reported improvement in two or more of their well-being targets.

Participants were employed by the Phoenix Union High School District (PXU), Avondale Elementary School District, Isaac School District, Scottsdale Unified School District and other Title I schools including Desert Edge High School and Agua Fria High School.

The program will continue to be available through May 2025 for thousands of teachers and staff who choose to enroll at participating Title I schools.

“School superintendents and principals are advocates of the well-being program because when educators and school personnel achieve their wellness goals, it creates a win-win-win outcome,” says Randy Miller, founder and Chief WHEN Officer of WHEN.

“The individual who completes the program finds practical solutions for managing job-related stress, anxiety or productivity issues, while the students win because their teachers and support staff members are more effective. The school systems also win because their employees are more productive, less stressed and less likely to seek other job opportunities.”
