Bill Woodward

Bill is principal of Woodward & Company Marketing Communications, LLC, a Phoenix, Arizona-based firm specializing in developing smart, efficient and successful solutions to marketing communications challenges.

He believes that Visibility = Viability™, and he consults with a variety of large and small companies to develop marketing, PR and reputation management strategies and the tools to execute best-in-class marketing communications tactics.

Bill has worked in senior corporate communications roles for Mayo Clinic, Banner Health and SunCor Development Company, directing internal communications to enhance corporate cultures and to implement external marketing communications initiatives.

As a consultant, Bill has developed internal and external communications campaigns for Walmart, Nestle Waters North America, the Arizona Lottery, the Arizona Department of Health Services, St. Joseph’s Hospital/Barrow Neurological Institute, Muhammad Ali Parkinson’s Research Center, large agribusiness companies, the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University and more than 35 hospitals, healthcare  and human service organizations throughout the U.S.

He has established a track record as one of the nation’s most successful and innovative marketing communications specialists in the field of behavioral health and substance abuse prevention.

For eight years, he was an award winning broadcast journalist, talk-show host, and television station news director. Having produced or written more than 50,000 news stories in his career, he has conducted news media relations training presentations to high profile CEOs, groups and organizations nationwide.

Bill has earned more than 100 national and regional awards for excellence in marketing, advertising, and promotions. And he has been featured in Advertising Age magazine, published in Healthcare Marketing Quarterly, and lectured to many professional organizations at national and regional conferences.
